Instructor Tory Peterson

A Grand Rapids native, Tory Peterson has been studying under Coach Mikhail
since 1994. In 1997, he became the first fencer in recent Grand Rapids
history to attain USFA National Points. Along with numerous other state and
regional medals, he won a Great Lakes Sectional Championship gold medal in
1998. Using his precise technical knowledge and many years of competitive
experience, Tory teaches advanced and beginning classes, private lessons,
and assists with teaching at GRAFA camps.

Tory graduated from Michigan State University in 2005 with a Bachelor's
Degree in Geography. He is also an acomplished musician, playing guitar in
various professional rock and funk bands.
