IMPORTANT: A Few Winter Announcements

Since snow and bad weather are inevitable, be sure to check WOOD TV 8 for weather closings. If our name is not on the closings list and Grand Rapids Public School has cancelled, we will be as well! Also, be sure to sign up for our text message system and closings will be sent to your phone!

Fencers should bring an extra pair of shoes that are not worn outside during the winter months. We would like to keep our floors nice and our fencers safe!(If they own fencing shoes, disregard this message)

This Holiday season, we will be holding a canned food drive for a local food pantry. Any and all donations are appreciated!

GRAFA will be closed for Christmas break from Wednesday December 23rd through Sunday January 3rd. Normal classes will resume Monday January 4th! Have a great Holiday everyone and see you in the New Year!

GRAFA is the youngest yet most experienced fencing club in West Michigan.

First and only club in West Michigan to take home two gold medals at Nationals.

Both GRAFA Head Coaches have Bachelors Degree in Physical Education with minors in Pedagogy and physical Therapy.

All GRAFA coaches have higher education degree and years of experience.

Head coach Mikhail was honored as the “2004 Developmental Coach of the Year” by the U.S. Olympic Committee.

GRAFA fencers earned 35 medals at Nationals, and two from a World Cup! The most of any club in Michigan.

Mikhail and Arkadiy Sarkisov have traveled as coaches for the Cadet and Junior Womens Foil Team to 11 World Cups, assisting fencers in earning many medals including Gold medals.
